Walk tall naturally with purpose

Ashdown Striders’ Nordic Walk – this Sunday 7 January

Meet at 10am at the Old Lodge Nature reserve car park on the B2026.

From the south, go past the police training site on the right, then past the right fork (B2188 to Groombridge). A little further on, there’s a white finger post on the left to a private house (Old Lodge). Immediately afterwards are some new signs for Old Lodge Reserve car park on the left.

Via Nutley, take the Crowborough Rd across the forest, turn left at the B2026, then follow directions above.

Via Forest Row, take the B2110 towards Coleman’s Hatch. Turn right to go up Kidds Hill, passing the Hatch Inn on the right. At the top of Kidds Hill turn right on the B2026. The car park is a short distance along on the right.

The forest is very wet at the moment so gaiters or waterproof trousers recommended. The route is a little slippery but there are not too many very muddy places on the route.
