Ashdown Striders’ Nordic walk this Sunday 2 February
Meet at 10am at Gill’s Lap Car Park on the B2026.
Coming from the South, go past the right fork towards Groombridge (B2188). A little further along the road starts to go downhill, it curves to the right and there is a small road going off to the left, Kidds Hill. The car park is on the left in a clump of trees just beyond the Kidds Hill turn off. The car park is easily visible as you approach.
Coming from the North, go via Forest Row onto the B2110. At Coleman’s Hatch, opposite the church turn right. At the top of the hill go straight ahead. Kidds Hill runs to the left of the Hatch Inn. When you reach the B2026 the car park is on the left.
Boots and gaiters or waterproof trousers recommended. It is also quite exposed so wrap up warm if it is windy. There is quite a long, but steady, uphill section about half way round. But the views are good there if we need to pause and get our breath back.
