Instructed Nordic Walks for better exercise – AMs Thursdays or Fridays
NEW – are you interested in regular instructed sessions on Thursdays or Fridays starting at 10am in various superb locations ? BOOKING is OPEN NOW ! If five people sign up to pay in advance, Nordic Walking for Health can offer a series of instructed Nordic walks: at the Fitness level of technique on Thursday or Friday mornings over a six week period. Locations will vary, depending on the weather, between Stanmer Park, Brighton, Castle Hill Nature Reserve, Woodingdean, Ditchling Beacon, Friston Forest, Exceat and the Seven Sisters Country Park, East Dean. Following high numbers of people participating in our “Walk Better for You !” Refreshers and in our Nordic Walking Taster Sessions during a recent local walking festival, we are pleased to announce dates for new beginner courses: Buxted Park, Buxted near Uckfield – weekend afternoons on 2, 3, 10 & 17 November Session 1 – 2 to 3.30pm Saturday 2 November Session 2 – 1.30 to 3pm Sunday 3 November Session 3 – 1.30 to 3pm Sunday 10 November Session 4 – 1.30 to 3pm Sunday 17 November Price per person from £43, i.e.

Ashdown Striders’ Nordic walk this Sunday 2 February
Meet at 10am at Gill’s Lap Car Park on the B2026. Coming from the South, go past the right fork towards Groombridge (B2188). A little further along the road starts to go downhill, it curves to the right and there is a small road going off to the left, Kidds Hill. The car park is on the left in a clump of trees just beyond the Kidds Hill turn off. The car park is easily visible as you approach. Coming from the North, go via Forest Row onto the B2110.

If you Nordic walk on a regular basis, we recommend refreshing your technique every 6 to 12 months. Old habits die hard, so book a refresher ! If life took over and Nordic walking had to take a back seat, but now, with more time on your hands, you’re keen to take it up again, book a re-starter !
