Regular Instructed Group Nordic Walks have now started !

Instructed group Nordic walks are now being run in Brighton & Hove for competent Nordic walkers wanting to exercise on a regular basis at the Health or Fitness levels of Nordic walking technique. The price for four walks is £36.00 per person and there is a six week time period during which the four walks have be participated in, i.e. an extra fortnight within which they could take place. Local Health Trainers learn about the benefits of Nordic walking

Five members of the Brighton & Hove City Council Health Trainers Team take the opportunity to taste Nordic walking and learn about the potential health & well-being benefits of it for their clients.

Village Green Taster Day – Sunday 28 May

To mark World Nordic Walking this year, a rolling programme of free, small group 45 minute taster sessions will be run on the Greensward village green in East Dean, near Eastbourne, throughout the day on Sunday 28 May. Specialist Nordic walking poles are provided. Sessions will run on the hour every hour from 9am to 5pm. Places are limited on each session, so booking in advance is recommended. Bluebell Nordic Walk – this Saturday morning, Brighton

The bluebells are peaking ! Come and Nordic walk through them this Saturday morning. Meet at 10am in front of Stanmer House in Stanmer Park. The walk will last for 1.5 to 2 hours. Price is from £15 per person depending on numbers. This will now be a circular Nordic walk around the perimeter of Stanmer Park of about 6.25 miles and has, therefore, been upgraded from the Health to the Fitness level of Nordic walking technique.
